anti-wrinkle injections

what conditions does it treat?
• frown lines  • forehead lines • crowsfeet  • bunny lines
• vertical lip lines • brow shaping  • lines on neck (turkey neck)
• brow lifting • hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
• non-surgical nose reshaping

what is it?
Anti-wrinkle injections are a natural purified protein that causes temporary muscle weakening. It’s an excellent treatment for 'dynamic' wrinkles such as crow’s feet and frown lines. Doctors have been using this product since 1973 to treat medical conditions including facial ticks and muscle spasms. The injection has been used as a form of cosmetic treatment since 1988.

A small amount of product is injected using a fine needle into the muscle that needs to be weakened. Once the muscles are relaxed, you can’t contract and continue to make the undesirable facial expressions. Thus, the lines in your face gradually become smooth and new lines cannot form.

how many treatments will I need?
The optimum results of anti-wrinkle therapy can be seen two weeks after treatment and last up to 3-4 months.

what do the treatments feel like?

After a slight sting for a few seconds, it is painless and there is no ongoing numbness or redness. A topical anaesthetic and ice pack may be applied to make you more comfortable.

dermal fillers

what conditions does it treat?

fine lines around lips nasolabial folds hollows under eyes
chin enhancement lip enhancement lip definition
cheek enhancement jaw line definition crowsfeet
forehead lines  fine lines

what is it?
Dermal filler revitalises your appearance by restoring your skins volume to make it softer and smoother. The injectable gel is made from a natural complex sugar called Hyaluronic Acid (HA) found within the tissues of living cells, including human skin. It assists in skin hydration by attracting and holding water. It also combines with collagen and elastin (a protein in your skin) to increase skin structure and elasticity.

Unlike anti-wrinkle injections - that treat dynamic wrinkles by relaxing muscles that cause facial expressions - HA injectable gel is placed below the surface of your skin to literally ‘fill in’ or ‘plump up’ the static facial wrinkles and folds.

Considerable advances in technology have given the cosmetic industry an array of filler options. We offer a wide variety of dermal fillers, each suited to different applications. We will advise you on which dermal filler is best for you at the time of your consultation.

how many treatments will I need?
Dermal fillers diminish the depth of your wrinkles to give your face a natural and more rejuvenated look that should last from 6-18 months.
